Inspired by Le Corbusier

Great Arthur House is in the Golden Lane Estate in the city of London. I love this tower block with its bright yellow panels and curved hat. According to the English Heritage web site it was designed by the architects Chamberlin, Powell and Bon and inspired by the work of Le Corbusier. It was built in the 1950's. There is a lovely indoor swimming pool on the estate which has recently reopened after being renovated.

Just had to say how much I love this drawing. I received James Hobbs' book yesterday (Sketch your world) and this drawing really stood out. I just love the simplicity and clarity of the image with its slightly leaning bursting out of its seams look. If you had a print of it, I would love to purchase a copy.
